Rockbox simulator builds

The Rockbox simulator is a version of Rockbox that will Run on your computer and simulate a real device. This is useful if you want to:

• Create and test a WPS.
• Test other devices for working on the Manual.
• Try out what Rockbox is like before installing it.

Below, you'll find precompiled versions of the simulator for running on Windows. This way you won't have to go through the trouble of setting up a build-environment. Just download and run.

Note that this is an unmodified version of Rockbox, and I will not be providing simulators with patches applied. First of all because it takes more time than I'm willing to spend on it, to keep a patched tree in sync, and second of all, because I think it's a bad idea to depend too much on patches. So if you want patches, you'll have to set up a build-environment and apply them yourself.

Just like the official builds of Rockbox, I do not include the fonts, since they so rarely change. If you want to be able to change fonts, download the latest set of fonts from the daily builds page on rockbox.org.

The included SDL.dll is identical to the one that can be downloaded from the official SDL site. (version 1.2.12 - source)
